10 Best Tucking Underwear Brands in USA & Canada
When I started tucking, you could count the brands making proper tucking underwear on one hand. Most of us were making do with gaffer tape, doubled-up thongs or shapewear that was never designed for our bodies. I know, because that is exactly how I started, and it caused me real harm.
Thankfully, that has changed. There are now brands across the US and Canada making tucking underwear that is comfortable, safe and actually built for trans and non-binary bodies. I'm Robyn, founder of Gaff and Go, and I spend my days designing this stuff, so I pay close attention to who else is doing it well.
Here are ten brands and shops worth knowing if you are looking for tucking underwear in North America. I'll start with my own, because I think you'll love it, but there is genuinely something here for everyone.
1. GAFF AND GO
I'll be honest, I'm biased. I founded Gaff and Go after years of tucking with tape that damaged my skin, because I wanted something better for myself and for our community. Our tucking gaffs are made for trans women, non-binary people and anyone who tucks: soft fabrics, cotton linings and a smooth, flat-front finish without tape or unsafe methods.
We make a wide range of styles, from everyday gaffs to high-waist cuts, briefs, thongs and tucking swimwear, in sizes XS to 3XL. You can browse the full range of tucking underwear to find a style that works for your body and your day. We ship discreetly worldwide, so wherever you are in the US or Canada, we can reach you.

If you are completely new to this, our how to tuck guide walks you through it safely before you buy anything. That matters to me more than the sale.
2. TOMBOYX
Based in Seattle and founded in 2013 by Fran Dunaway and Naomi Gonzalez, TomboyX is one of the better-known names in inclusive underwear, and a certified B Corp. They started as a shirt company and grew into a full gender-neutral range, with a dedicated tucking line and even tucking swimwear.
What I respect about them is the sizing. They fit-test across body types and run from 3XS all the way to 6X, which is rare. If you want a bigger, established brand with sustainable practices and a tuck that holds without harsh compression, they are a solid choice.
3. URBODY
Urbody is a Los Angeles brand founded in 2021 by Mere Abrams and Anna Graham, made by and for trans, non-binary and gender non-conforming people. Mere is a clinical social worker, and you can feel that care in how the garments are designed.
Their approach is what I'd call casual tucking. Rather than a traditional gaff, they build gentle compression into leggings, bike shorts and bodywear with a built-in thong, so tucking becomes part of getting dressed rather than a separate task. If you find a full gaff too much for everyday wear, this is a lovely middle ground.
4. EN FEMME
En Femme is a US, queer-owned brand that makes its tucking underwear in the USA. They offer tucking thongs, briefers and comfort-stretch styles, with a patented design meant to keep you smooth both at the front and underneath when you bend or move.
They also sit within a wider feminine wardrobe of dresses, lingerie and breast forms, so if you want to shop tucking underwear alongside the rest of an outfit in one place, they are worth a look.
5. TUCK BUDDIES
Tuck Buddies is a small, handmade brand from Springfield, Oregon, and it has one of my favourite origin stories. It was started by the parent of a trans daughter who transitioned young, making comfortable, affirming underwear when there was very little out there for trans youth.
They use a dual front panel that flattens without requiring a full tuck, which can be a gentler, safer option for growing bodies, and they make adult, youth and kids sizes. They also run pay-what-you-can and sponsor-a-pair options so cost is less of a barrier. This is community care in garment form.
6. FIT4U SOLUTIONS
FIT4U Solutions was founded in 2021 by Annie Boutin, a mom who started making samples at home after she couldn't find comfortable tucking underwear for her trans daughter. It is women-owned, and that personal motivation shows in the detail.
Their stand-out feature is choice of compression. They offer Active, Comfort and Swim versions, with wider gussets and outside seams for comfort, in sizes XXXS to 5XL and a big range of colours. If you have struggled to find your level of hold, having compression as an actual choice is genuinely useful.
7. ORIGAMI CUSTOMS
Origami Customs is based in Montreal and is made by trans people for trans people. They are best known for free custom sizing: you can choose your gusset size for a proper fit, which makes a real difference to comfort. Their gaffs have over 4.8 stars across more than 1,500 reviews, and the powermesh is swim and workout safe.
Because most pieces are made to order, there is a wait of a few weeks, though they keep a ready-to-ship range for when you need something sooner. They also run a community program to help trans people who face access issues, which I always want to see.
8. GENDERGEAR
GenderGear is a trans-owned-and-operated co-operative based in Ontario, Canada. They are not strictly a tucking-underwear maker of their own label, but they are one of the best Canadian places to shop gender-affirming gear, with gaffs, binders, packers, STPs and breast forms all in one trusted spot.
If you are in Canada and want to buy from a trans-run business that stocks a curated selection rather than figuring it all out alone, they are a great starting point.
9. VENUS ENVY
Venus Envy is a long-running, trans-affirming Canadian shop based in Halifax, selling online and in store. Alongside gaffs and binders, they run peer-led workshops and a Pay-It-Forward program that gives free gender-affirming garments to people who can't afford them, funded by community donations.
They are a retailer rather than their own underwear label, but they have been a safe, knowledgeable place for trans and non-binary people to find what they need for years, and that kind of care is worth supporting.
10. TRANSTAPE
A quick honest note on this one. TransTape is not tucking underwear, it is a US tape-based product, so it works differently from everything else on this list. Some people prefer tape for a very secure, low-bulk hold, particularly for performance or special occasions.
I include it because it is a real option people ask about, but I'll always gently steer beginners toward a well-made gaff first. Tape needs care to use safely on the skin, and it is easy to get wrong when you are starting out. If tape is right for you, brilliant, just learn how to use it properly.
FINDING WHAT WORKS FOR YOU
There is no single best tucking brand, only the best one for your body, your budget and your day. What I hope this list shows is that you finally have real choices, made by people who actually understand what we need. That was not true when I started, and it is one of the best things I have watched happen in this community.
If you want to start with something soft, safe and designed from lived experience, I'd love you to try ours. You can explore our tucking gaffs or browse the wider tucking underwear range, and reach out any time if you are not sure what is right for you.
